Man as a muse; to show not only the body, but also what man does, wishes, moves, and especially, Believes.
The artist is inspired by religion and liturgical rituals from the past. With this, he creates his own symbolism, based on his personal associations with Faith.
He doesn’t wish to convey a religious message through his work, but he rather brings the viewer along in his search for what Faith does with people, and what people do with Faith.
In this search, he focusses on breaking through stereotypical ways of thinking, which he processes either with humor, critique, or cynicism, into a new ceramic sculpture.
