Ingenhut Keramiek
Our work is shaped mainly on the pottery wheel, and consists of specialty tableware and one-of-a-kind pieces. We work with different types of stoneware clay, which are hand mixed by us.

Since 2015, our work is fired mainly by using the reduction method in our wood burning oven. The firing temperature is about 1300 degrees Celsius, and we use prunings and wood waste as fuel. The bright colors created by our custom made, sustainable glazes are in contrast with the unglazed parts of the piece. This ‘bald patch’ is touched subtly by the fire and ashes, which creates the characteristic liveliness of woodfired ceramics. Wood firing can be unpredictable, yet it’s exactly this aspect that has become inextricably linked to our work. With the play between the fire and our mutual inspiration, a harmonious whole is created.
