Roel Beurskens

In 2011, Roel Beurskens (Baarlo, 1985) graduated 3D design (product design) from the HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten) in Utrecht.
In his designs, Roel uses playful, innovative details and elements, which have an underlying meaning most of the time. By adding this meaning, he tries to motivate the viewer to contemplate further. It’s important in his products to make the amount of personal attention that is given to it, visible.

Roel is specialized in pouring with porcelain. In this process he often experiments with shape and color.

In November 2019, Roel started teaching porcelain workshops on the Napoleonsbaan South in Baarlo. This would be the start of a great extension of workshops in many different fields. Besides, Roel has been teaching at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht since 2020.

Roel wants to convey his knowledge, skill and passion from his fields in order to motivate others to unfold their creative abilities.
